People who actually experience this phenomenon assumed seeing ghostly light during the day and night. Most argued that the light "is the relection of car lights while scientests believe it is a gaseous substance" (Bragg). One story from an old man said the light rushed through his horse, panicking the horse and dumping the driver and his wagon into the ditch (Bob Bowman). Soon, everyone started to assume seeing the light in all different colors. According to Bob Bowman, in the 1960s, the light chased cars down stopping engines, burning hands, and running over people. Seems true to me that ghost can do this to others, without hurting the person itself, except burning them. This woman I knew personally told me her car engine would not start, due to her anxiety about this house she went into was really haunted or not; her feedback from the ghost started with the engine not starting up. She actually went to the monk to bless her from the evil spirits, and her car started working again by forgiving the ghost from what the monk told her to do. I can see why this statement can be true.
